Yeah... two big buckets of cow poop! How lovely of them! It was all part of their lesson on Permaculture and in particular, composting.
They collected the poop on the Botan road in the cow's usual 'hang out' spot on the hill. They brought it to the garden and learnt from Leo how they can use it mixed with water to as a liquid fertilizer on their veggies. Then they pulled a bunch of Coralitta and added it to the compost pile and then worked on the already broken down stuff, sifting it out and planting a seed using the freshly sifted material.
They took their pots with their trees home to plant in their own gardens when they grow bigger and also left with a bag of compost to keep it well fed.
So it was gift giving all over. It's always so much fun when they come to the garden, they run around like loonies and have so much fun, get completely covered in dirt and hopefully leave with some new knowledge as well.
Come again soon guys!!
Much love from the garden on the golden rock x
