I attended the European Permaculture teacher’s conference in
Leeds. It was really interesting, we discussed all kinds of topics and shared a lot of great ideas, tons of
things I am going to totally steal and use in the Kids clubs here on Statia!!
I also got a chance to have a look around The Hollybush
centre in Leeds, head quarters of the TCV (The conservation volunteers) and the
UK Permaculture association. They have lovely public gardens that, like ours, are
maintained by very enthusiastic volunteers. It’s always really cool to wander
through other gardens and get new ideas, fresh perspective etc. It gives you
renewed motivation to go back home and continue with your own projects and inspires
you to start new ones as well.
I was busy in the garden last week, with my two lovely
volunteers Michael and Fiona, getting everything back under control (we had a
lot of rain while I was away apparently!) so this week I will be putting
some of the new ideas I’ve got into action… watch this space!
Nice UK pic... a Daisy growing in my Dad's garden - so simple and so pretty
Michael and Fiona getting a well-deserved drink of coconut water after a busy morning!
