Tomorrow our volunteers leave us again. Some of them have been with us for two months some only one but I will miss them all. They were a good group, great fun but also worked really hard and achieved a whole lot of stuff. While they were here we managed to start the project on the children’s garden walls and we got one of the walls completely removed and rebuilt again. The garden is also looking pretty good considering we have had lots of rain (therefore lots of weeds) and we have summer club going on which takes out one of our work mornings each week. They have done a good job keeping it looking nice.
We had their leaving party last night, yeah, I accidentally had too many Strawberry Daquaris… (I didn’t mean to have too many, therefore it was an accident!) my head is a little fuggy today… I need my Mum’s roast dinner and a bottle of Lucozade… that is my traditional hangover cure… the Lucozade I can arrange but Mum’s roast won’t travel well from England!
Anyway, the vols are gone again, we get some more newbies next week and so it starts again. They will be missed though, thank you Andy, April, Caleb, Dan, Gill, Raymond, Zoe and Hillary who’s leaving in a couple of weeks time.
