New pics!!

Well Maria passed by us at the weekend… not that you would notice, not much wind, just a lot of rain really. There wasn’t any damage at the garden so that was nice but it has been raining all day. We are making new signs for the garden though so we have lots of sanding and painting and wet weather work to be getting on with.
We are going to be super busy over the next few weeks, our great volunteers leave at the end of the month and we don’t have anyone signed up for October… so its me, Sam my intern and I might be able to train Foxy to whack some weeds… although he will probably do what he does best and get in my blinkin’ way.
Here are some update pics for you guys.

This is the gloriosa lily I was telling you about in a previous blog. It just kinda turned up in the taste arbour and so we are hoping it seeds and then we will try to move it and propagate it. It's so pretty though!!

This is how the medicinal garden is coming along. The plants are all growing really well. We had to cut the Basil back the other day as it was taking over it's beds a little. The grass has all filled out and so the Coralitta is being kept at bay well on the pathways but not so much in the beds themselves. Thats why on this picture you can just make out the newspaper we put down a few weeks ago to suppress the weeds a little. It worked until we had a tropical storm!

Anyway it's taken me 30 minutes to download these two pictures so I am going to call it a day now and download some more for you tomorrow!

Much love from the garden on the golden rock...
